Southport Show Set To Go with a Bang!

FieworksWe are heading to sunny Southport for the second GO Travel Show North on Saturday 30th September.

A range of attractions from Merseyside, Lancashire, other parts of the north of England and beyond, will be taking over the Southport Theatre & Convention Centre (STCC) for the day to showcase the very best of the group travel opportunities available to those who live in or are heading for the North. Exhibitors will be promoting daytrips, attractions, travel, accommodation and everything the well-travelled GTO needs to know.

The venue has undergone a £40m refurbishment recently and is an excellent place to explore for new group travel ideas and experiences. It has some fame in its own right with The Beatles playing there back in their heyday.

FREE coaches will bring visitors from all over the UK to our show and details of how to book will be going up on our website shortly, and will also appear in the next issue of the magazine. We’re also arranging a number of fam visits for those attending, both in the immediate area and to places en route, and more details will also be announced shortly.

We’ve been working closely with Southport as the host destination that has lots to offer group visitors. The GO Travel Show North in Southport will follow the successful inaugural event held in Leeds last Autumn.

We are delighted that the weekend of the British Musical Fireworks Championship this year coincides with the GO Travel Show North. It is the ultimate UK firework competition, drawing thousands of people to watch, and our visitors to the GO Show North will be able to be among them. Set in the beautiful Victoria Park, the fireworks are timed to music, which results in the most spectacular firework display you will ever see!

Wendy LucasWe’re so excited to be hosting the GO Travel Show North and we can’t wait to meet all the visitors. The STCC really is so much more than just a theatre and we are sure the visitors will have a great day out discovering all that our Venue, Southport and the North has to offer.”
